This little baby was a pattern test for @ThatNerdyHooker (IG). I think Danielle is one of the first handful of really memorable crochet accounts that I started following when I first created my account. They make a bunch of Pokemon which is right up my alley and I liked the bigger style that isn’t overly cutesy.

Oddish is my childhood favorite pokemon of all time (my siblings made so many jokes about eating it as a radish) so when I saw the Gloom tester call posted I was super duper excited and got the lucky chance to test it!

One funny thing when I was testing – Usually I like to google reference pictures from the original source when making items, but I remember this time I considered it then decided not to because I already had like 2,000 tabs open and didn’t want to deal with more. The pictures on the pattern had the balls on Gloom’s head in a square (from viewer perspective) POV and I followed it then ended up looking at a picture and realized the balls are more of a diamond pattern (so just shifted to the side 45 degrees).
It was bothering me so I ended up using a long piece of yarn to force pull the balls to the side and sew them down again because I didn’t want to redo the whole thing. That was definitely not fun but Gloom turned out super cute anyways! I’m sure other Glooms have their balls centered in a square.
